I’ll never get tired of mentioning how much I enjoy the fact that a really good day doesn’t have to offer all that much to be one. A calm morning in a café, a delicious dinner, and some time with loved ones in between is really all I need to consider my time well spent. On an unrelated note: the second panel might be one of my favorites I’ve ever drawn. I love everything about it, especially how perfectly it captures my excitement for the XO noodles at Batu. They’re genuinely some of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten. September 15, 2026 In case you’re as clueless as we were when we suddenly found ourselves standing in front of this enormous thing, wondering what on earth it was: a graduation tower is basically a huge wooden structure filled with bundles of branches. Salt water trickles down through them, evaporating in the wind and making the air around it slightly salty, a bit like being by the sea. I’d never heard of or seen anything like it before, and it really was a sight to behold. Definitely one of the highlights of our day trip to Lüneburg. September 14, 2026 Yet another run where I can hardly stay in Zone 2. I talked to my trainer, ChatGPT, about it, and apparently it might just be accumulated fatigue from training. It recommended taking a week off from pushing myself too hard. That might actually make sense, so I’ll report back on whether it helped. September 13, 2026 Every single time I’m brave enough to go outside and draw or paint in public, something happens that lifts my mood. It’s not that I particularly yearn for contact with strangers, but whenever it happens, I end up feeling a little more connected to my surroundings. I ended up talking to that woman and her husband for half an hour. At first, I thought they were tourists because that part of the city is mostly inhabited by them, but they had actually just bought a new camera and gone there to try it out. Very cute!
